BBC Radio 1 on campus!

BBC Radio 1 are coming to the University Of Bedfordshire!

Radio 1 will set-up their mobile studio right in the middle of campus between Monday 13th and Thursday 16th June.

They will be bringing back former Bedfordshire Uni students Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom! The pair will be showing co-host Charlie Hedges the best Luton has to offer.

Rickie, Melvin & Charlie will be on campus during graduations and will be broadcasting their BBC Radio 1 show between 10:30am-12:45pm each day.

On Monday 13th they’ll be speaking to graduates after their graduation ceremonies, plus they’ll be unearthing some clips of Rickie & Melvin from their student radio shows!

On Tuesday 14th’s show they’ll be starting a new feature called ‘Challenge RMC’, which should see them get up to all sorts of mischief and dares…

On Wednesday 15th they are giving somebody chance to skive off work, whilst Rickie, Melvin & Charlie sub in to do their shift for the day!

And on Thursday 16th they’ll round up the week of antics of ‘Challenge RMC’, plus they’ll play Charlie’s Fly-Through, trying to work out the mystery destinations of travellers at Luton Airport!

If you’re new to Radio 1 - make sure you tune in whilst they’re in town. They’ll be bringing all the tunes, plenty of fun, games and all the lols.

The best way to listen to BBC Radio 1 is to download the BBC Sounds app. It’s available from every app store, and features all the BBC’s live radio plus loads of amazing podcasts and music mixes.

So - Radio 1 are in Luton and they want to shout out and meet as many of you as possible! Tune in or say hi on campus between Monday 13th and Thursday 16th June.
